The Stats Link Canada web site has been designed to help Canadian entrepreneurs conduct their own market research. We understand however that some people do not have the time or inclination to do it themselves. We can help!

GDSourcing has been helping Canadian entrepreneurs research their small businesses since 1997.  Stats Link Canada is our new research service which is designed to help new entrepreneurs access the secondary data they need to complete their business plan or expand their business.

Each report includes the most current government and non-government data we can access on your behalf and is presented with tables and graphs and brief commentaries.  The report is e-mailed to you in the format of your choice:

• PDF (for easy printing)

• WORD format (so you can cut the graphs and tables your need and quickly paste them into your own business plan or marketing strategy.)

How do I know what I am going to get?

Hiring a research firm should not be a "leap of faith". Unlike nearly every other research firm, we do not charge by the hour.  Prior to conducting any research, we will provide you with a detailed description of the data available and the cost involved in retrieving and compiling it for you. 

Wherever possible we will let you know what datasets you can easily access yourself.  This provides you with the flexibility of conducting some research yourself and leaving the "tough slugging" to us.  You are in control of your research budget.

How much will it cost?

A typical full retrieval, where we compile all available data related to your market/industry, costs approximately $800.00. 

We also do specific data retrievals. For example if you were looking for a local market assessment using the Survey of Household Spending data.  This type of data specific research starts around $75.00 

We understand that although our prices are extremely reasonable, some entrepreneurs will not have a research budget available.  Our research guides and source lists are designed to let you quickly find the data yourself either for free or low cost (under $50.00).  For more information on our source lists click here.

Why are the prices so cheap?

First of all we know our stuff!  Having ten years of Canadian small business market research experience allows us to find data quickly.  Basically we know where to look!

Secondly we only provide limited analysis of the data.  We will only point out clear trends and identify the insights each dataset provides. We are retrieving the data you need to complete your business plan.  We are NOT writing the plan for you. 

Third, we DO NOT conduct any primary research on your behalf.  We do not design or execute custom surveys.  All data provided has been collected by secondary sources such as private research firms, government department and agencies.

How soon can I get the information?

You will receive a description of the data available within one business day along with a research quote.

The turn around time on the actual report delivery is generally one week however in some cases Rapid Service can be provided.  Let us know your due date and we will try to comply.  Premium charges will be applied on Rapid Service orders.

How do I pay?

Prepayment is required on research services.  Your detailed quote will include live links for ordering online.  You can pay via VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Interac or by PayPal.
